I Feel Great

I felt great being on a cruise a few weeks ago. I loved it. There are not any words that can describe what this cruise did for me. I am not trying to be snobbish, but it was very relaxing. However, last week I felt great. I have not felt that great in a long time. I knew that Jen, Lindsey and Ashley would be at youth conference. I decided last Monday to take my 3 younger peeps out for some fun. We visited my Juli, went to IN-n-OUT Burger, bought some windshield wipers, and then saw The Princess and the Frog. It was a very relaxing evening. I enjoyed being with my peeps. Saturday I worked for a few hours and then went and bought a dishwasher (sort of a long story). Church was even really great. I loved. It has been the best Sunday I have had in a long time.
I haven't felt this good in a long, long time. I love it.
I actually feel like I can accomplish something.
I am now ready to go on another cruise.
Love you much.

I was at a church meeting tonight and had the opportunity to think back to when I gained my testimony of Christ.
During a zone conference early in my mission an elder with whom I entered the mission stood to bear his testimony. He said, "I know that Christ lives just as if he were standing next to me." I remember thinking, "I wish I could say that."
While serving in Calhoun, My companion and I were waiting for another set of elders come to our apartment. I was sitting on the couch reading a book. It was then that this knowledge came to me. It was incredible. I remember it as if it were yesterday. What a fantastic experience.
The sad part is that Elder Nelson does not have a clue how his testimony influenced me.

Reading with Abbey

After school I had to run an errand. When I got home I lied down to read a book for a small period of time. After about 10 minutes I found Abbey lying in front of me reading. A few minutes later she had moved to my sitting on my back. It was fun. That is the first time that has happened with any of the kids.

Still No Pics

I would like to take an opportunity to say that I loved going a cruise. As mentioned before, I have not slept, ate and read so much in one week. We also played 5 Crowns. I am not sure if Jen won more games than I did. I just know that she was out to get me every game. I must say that some games she did just that. But that's a two way street.
Our stateroom over looked the Promenade deck. This deck is set up to look like a city street. The windows above this "city street" belong to the staterooms of the 3 next decks. We were able to watch several of the parades that took place on this street form our stateroom. We also heard all the music that was being played. That lasted until 11 P.M. If we happened to be in our stateroom and didn't want to hear the music we turned on our elevator music that is pumped into our room or we turned on the tv.
We spent this cruise with 51 of Santa's helpers. There wasn't any guessing as to who these men were. We were fortunate to hear Santas Rick and Bob in the karaoke lounge. They sung pretty well. Santa Bob was one of 6 finalists in the karaoke competition that was held on the last day of the cruise.
When anticipating for this cruise I was most excited to be at sea 3 of the days of this cruise. I knew that I would be able to do as I pleased and just relax.
For all of you expert mini-golfers I have a challenge for you. Try miniature golfing when the sea is a little rough and rocking the boat. It makes for quite the challenge. There was a place to do some inline skating, but I never saw when that was available. There was a track laid out on deck 12. Five times around the track is a mile. If any of you question if I exercised the answer is this; most of the time I took the stairs when going to dinner and sometimes after. After lunch we would meander to the Arctic Zone for self serve soft serve ice cream cones. I think I visited that place more than I should have, but I was on vacation.
When Captain Jack Sparrow asks, "Why's the rum gone?" I can tell you why. I am totally amazed at how much alcohol was consumed and I was not on deck all that much. During dinner we were tabled in a corner of the dining room. When they lifted the curtain it was fun to see nothing but the rail and then blackness. I felt quite small.
Today I have going through Jen withdrawals. It was fun just to be with her.
I hope it's not another 3 1/2 years before I go on another cruise.
Love Ya'

I'm Home

I've been on land since 8:15 this morning and my house is still rocking. It feels good. Words cannot really describe how my cruise went.
When I was doing the scouting thing when I was a teenager our motto that we lived by when camping was that we ate until we were tired, rested, and then started eating again. This week I ate until I was tired and then some more. This cruise consisted of a lot of eating, sleeping, and reading. It was great. We also played a lot of 5 Crowns. I think Jen beat me most of the time. However, I caught her with 60 plus points in one hand. She wasn't pleased and took revenge. We didn't take a lot of pictures, but I will throw one or two on here in the next few days.
With much love,

OLD Man
